10 Jan Read For Good
The Library had a sponsored read event for the charity Read for Good. This charity raises money for children to access reading books during their time in a children’s hospital. The students gathered all their resources and got working on raising as much as they could. We raised a total of £618 for charity just simply by reading! As a thank you incentive, we’ve been awarded £120 in book vouchers to spend on the library. To get the competitive juices flowing, each form was competing to raise the most money. The winners were 9F and their prize was to visit the Malorie Blackman exhibition at the British Library. 9F thoroughly enjoyed the trip and learned a lot about Malorie Blackman and the many struggles she faced as an author. A special thanks to the family and friends that helped our students raise money.
